## What Vrisic builds and why we stay custom

We build AI that does a specific job inside a specific business, on infrastructure the client controls.

Most companies do not need another AI subscription. They need one or two systems that fit how they already work, such as an agent that books into their calendar or a search tool that respects their permissions. We build those.

Our work falls into eight services. We build [custom AI software and platforms](https://vrisic.com/services/custom-ai-software-development/) , [AI agents that complete tasks](https://vrisic.com/services/ai-agent-development/) , [enterprise RAG and AI search](https://vrisic.com/services/enterprise-rag-ai-search/) , [generative AI applications](https://vrisic.com/services/generative-ai-development/) and [voice AI for phone lines](https://vrisic.com/services/voice-ai-development/) . Around those sit [workflow automation](https://vrisic.com/services/ai-workflow-automation/) , [AI integration with existing systems](https://vrisic.com/services/ai-integration/) and [architecture and evaluation work](https://vrisic.com/services/ai-architecture-engineering/) for systems already in production.

Everything runs on the client’s cloud account and repositories from the first day. We choose models per task from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and open weight families such as Llama and Mistral, behind a gateway that makes switching a configuration change. That is the practical meaning of “custom” for us: the system is shaped to your business, and it stays yours if we part ways.

The short version

We build AI systems that do real work, we price them in writing, and we hand you the keys.

## How the Vrisic team works day to day

We are remote first by choice. It lets us hire senior engineers for skill rather than postcode and set working hours around the client instead of an office. Every project has a fixed daily overlap window with your team for calls, reviews and questions.

The same people carry a project from design to support. The engineer in your scoping call builds the system and responds when an alert fires after launch. Nothing gets lost between sales, delivery and support, because they are one team.

Teams are small, usually two to four people, and named before you sign. The weekly rhythm is described on our [how we work page](https://vrisic.com/how-we-work/) .

### What that means for you

- Senior engineers on every project, named in the contract
- A shared Slack or Teams channel with the people building
- Live demos every two weeks in your time zone
- One team from design to support
- Written decisions you can refer back to

## Markets we serve and how we adapt to each

## Engineering principles we hold ourselves to

Six rules that shape every project, from a single workflow to a full platform.

### Evaluation before launch

No AI feature goes live without an evaluation set of real examples and agreed pass marks. Scores are rerun after every change to prompts, models or data, so regressions are caught before users see them.

### You own the code

Source code, prompts, evaluation sets and infrastructure templates live in your repositories and cloud account from day one. The contract assigns IP to you on payment.

### Security by default

Least privilege access for every tool, secrets in a vault, logs of every AI action and personal data redacted before it reaches a model wherever the task allows.

### Honest scoping

We tell you when AI is the wrong tool, when your data will not support the accuracy you want, and when an off the shelf product would serve you better.

### No lock in

No proprietary runtime and no licence fee to keep using what you paid for. Models sit behind a gateway, so switching provider is a configuration change and a test run.

### Plain numbers after launch

Monthly reports show accuracy, volume, cost per task and incidents in plain language, so you can judge the system on results rather than on our description of it.

## What we will not do, even if asked

Where a partner draws its lines tells you more than a list of capabilities.

Some requests we turn down, and some industry habits we avoid on purpose:

- **Invent proof.** No made up case studies, borrowed logos or certifications we do not hold. If we have not done something before, we say so.
- **Sell AI where it does not fit.** If a form, a rule or an existing SaaS product solves the problem better, you hear it in the first call.
- **Hide the price.** No open ended hourly billing on a first project and no surprise invoices. Changes are priced in writing before work starts.
- **Hold your system hostage.** No withholding of credentials, documentation or source code, whatever the state of the relationship.
- **Build deceptive AI.** No voice agents that deny being AI when sincerely asked, no systems designed to manipulate vulnerable users, and no tools built to scrape and profile private individuals.
- **Ship without tests.** Nothing goes live until you have seen the evaluation results and signed them off.

Turning down work costs money, but it is why you can take the rest of what we say at face value. If you want to see how other firms compare, our guide to the best AI software development companies lists the criteria we think matter.

## Responsible AI in practice, not in a policy PDF

We work to published frameworks so you can check our approach against something other than our word.

### NIST AI Risk Management Framework

We use the four functions of the [NIST AI RMF](https://www.nist.gov/itl/ai-risk-management-framework) , Govern, Map, Measure and Manage, as a checklist in scoping and review: who is accountable, what can go wrong, how we measure it and what happens when it does.

### OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications

Every build is tested against the [OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications (2025)](https://genai.owasp.org/llm-top-10/) , including prompt injection, sensitive information disclosure, excessive agency and unbounded consumption.

### People approve what matters

Refunds above a limit, payments, legal or medical wording and anything irreversible go to a person for approval. The AI drafts and prepares; people decide.

### Transparency with users

Users are told when they are dealing with AI. Answers that rely on documents show their sources, so anyone can check a claim in one click.

### Data minimisation

Models receive only the data a task needs. We use business API terms under which providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google do not train on your data by default.

### Regulation mapped per project

Each build is mapped against the laws that apply, such as UK GDPR, the UAE PDPL, HIPAA or the [EU AI Act](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2024/1689/oj) , and the decisions are recorded in the project documentation.

## How to verify Vrisic before you sign

You should not take a young company’s word for anything. Here is how to check ours.

1. 1 Ask us to sign your NDA first We sign a mutual NDA before you share anything sensitive, usually on your paper. You can then show us real data and real problems in scoping, which makes our estimate far more accurate.
2. 2 Ask for references References are available on request once we understand your project, so we can connect you with someone whose situation resembles yours. Client names are not public because most work is under NDA.
3. 3 Talk to the engineers, not just sales Ask the people who would build your system how they would approach it. Their answers tell you more than any sales deck.
4. 4 Start with paid scoping For larger or less certain projects, a short paid scoping engagement lets you judge our work on a small fixed fee before committing to the full build. The written output is yours either way.
5. 5 Read the IP and exit terms Check that IP transfers to you on payment, that code lives in your repositories and that no licence fee applies to what you paid for. We are happy to walk your lawyer through ours.
6. 6 Send us your security questionnaire We answer security and vendor questionnaires in writing, describing the controls we actually run rather than pointing to certificates we do not hold.

### Is Vrisic a new company?

Yes. Vrisic is a young company, and we do not pad that with invented years, headcounts or client counts. What we offer instead is senior engineers, fixed prices in writing, code that lives in your repository from day one and is yours once paid and practical ways to verify us before you commit: a signed NDA, references on request and a paid scoping option for larger projects.

### Is Vrisic a remote company?

Yes. Vrisic is remote first, with our engineering team based in India, which lets us hire senior engineers for their skills and set working hours around each client in the US, UK and UAE. Every project has a fixed daily overlap window for calls and reviews, a shared Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, and a live demo every two weeks. On site workshops can be arranged for larger programmes when there is a clear reason.

### Why does Vrisic not publish client logos or case studies?

Most AI projects involve internal data and processes that clients do not want public, and we never use a logo or a result without written permission. We also refuse to publish invented examples dressed up as real ones. Under NDA we can walk you through relevant work, and references are available on request once we understand your project.

### Does Vrisic hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification?

We do not claim certifications we do not hold. We build on cloud providers and model vendors that do hold them, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, and we apply matching controls in our own work: least privilege access, logged changes, encrypted secrets and documented data flows. We answer your security questionnaire in writing, describing what we actually do.

### Who will actually work on our project?

Senior engineers, named in the proposal before you sign. The people in your scoping call are the people who design and build the system, and they stay through launch and support. We keep teams small, usually two to four people per project, so there is no chain of handoffs where context and decisions get lost.

### How does Vrisic approach responsible AI?

We use the NIST AI Risk Management Framework to structure risk decisions and test every build against the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications. In practice that means evaluation sets before launch, human approval for irreversible actions, clear disclosure that users are talking to AI, data minimisation and a written record of which laws apply and how the design meets them.

### Will you sign our NDA and data processing terms?

Yes. We sign a mutual NDA before you share anything sensitive, usually on your paper, and we work under your data processing agreement or Business Associate Agreement where the project calls for one. For UK and EU clients we act as a processor under UK GDPR or GDPR terms. Your legal team sees the full data flow before contracts are final.

### Can we pay for a small piece of work first to test Vrisic?

Yes. Many clients start with a paid scoping engagement or an architecture review, typically two to four weeks at $8,000 to $20,000, or a single automated workflow from about $5,000. It gives you a real deliverable and a clear view of how we communicate, estimate and write code before you commit to a larger build.
